From conferences to friends houses, I've had my fair share of setting up and taking down my Vive. I've tried all types of stands hoping to find the perfect solution. Some are okay, and others are great. But nothing has been perfect for me yet. So I set out to create the best stand on the market. To me, the best stand is made with four sections, and compact so it is easy to travel with. It wouldn't have springs that rattle from the base stations, and legs stands that have a narrow footprint, increasing the size of the play area. The following list below is my review of the best stands for Vive, depending on your preference and features you are looking for. The first one listed is the one I made. It's available for pre-order now, and shipping May 4th- May 8th. If you see any that aren't listed that you would like to share feel free to email me at shawn@basreality.co.
Base Reality
PROS
Designed to collapse as small as possible (made with four sections instead of three).
The leg stands have a narrowest footprint increasing the size of your play space.
Comes with flexible 1/4" ball head for best tracking coverage
It is compact. Collapsed - 20.8" | Extended - 6'4"
CONS
If you plan on using this stand for other use cases like lights I wouldn't recommend it.
